Luis is a Scientific Coordinator at Extensão Natural, he holds a PhD in Biological Sciences, his career has been marked by contributions to academia and civil society, both in Brazil and abroad.

Luís is currently affiliated with Saúde Planetária Brasil (IEA-USP), linked to the Planetary Health Alliance – PHA (Johns Hopkins University, USA), and has collaborated in programs such as Conservation Fellow at the ACEER Foundation (USA) and Planetary Health Campus Ambassador (PHA), evaluating educational programs and participating in mentorships. He is currently the only Latin American representative on the Next Generation Youth Council (PHA), contributing to the internationalization of best practices in community engagement with a focus on youth.
