Meet Manuella
Manuella is a Master’s student in Public Health at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil. She is also a Physical Therapist and received her BSc degree from the Federal University of Minas Gerais.
Her line of research is in Environmental Epidemiology in which she verifies the environmental damage to human health and, in her master’s project, she is carrying out a study to observe the spatial distribution of osteoporosis in Brazil and the possible association of air pollution with bone quality of population groups.
She is also a member of the Southeast Planetary Health Club of Brazil, collaborating with the sustainable and socio-educational activities developed by the group.
Manuella loves being outdoors, she is passionate about nature and studies related to climate change and environmental health.
